A. It is a venue for undergraduates, graduates and professional scientists to meet and present scientific ideas and research through
presentation of papers. The Annual Meeting Committee selects specific symposia for each year. To view this years symposia

Q. What is the Winchell Undergraduate Symposium?
A. It is a venue for undergraduates to compete by presenting scientific ideas and research through the presentation of a paper,
a poster, or both.
Q. How do I participate?
A. You can simply attend the Annual Meeting / Winchell Undergraduate Symposium, or you can become a presenter, or you can volunteer
as a judge. You may attend one or both days of the event. In any case you must
register.
Q. What is the difference between a presenter and an attendee?
A. Presenters are reading and discussing their research through a paper and/or a poster at one of the symposia. Attendees are coming
to the Annual Meeting/Winchell Undergraduate Symposium but are not presenting a paper or a poster.

Q. How do I become a member of the Minnesota Academy of Science?
A. You may become a member by registering for the Annual Meeting or Winchell Undergraduate Symposium and paying the appropriate
fee.
Q. If I am a presenter, should I present just a paper, a poster, or prepare a paper and a poster?
A. Graduate and professional presenters only present a paper. Winchell Undergraduate Symposium presenters may present a paper,
a poster, or both a paper and a poster.
Q. What do the A.C.S.(American Chemical Society) and Tri-Beta have to do with the Annual Meeting/Winchell Undergraduate Symposium?
A. They are academic associations that are meeting in conjunction with the Annual Meeting/Winchell Undergraduate Symposium.
Q. Can I register at the door?
A. All presenters must be fully registered by
3/26/2010, no exceptions.
The registration deadline for attendees who are not presenting is
4/16/2010.
Space and meals are VERY limited, so we strongly recommend you register by the deadline.
